  I went to the Priory after the Dongara races. I didn't mind the cover charge as they put on a DJ in the garden. But they didn't have enough staff on in the bar. They also didn't have enough staff in the kitchen. We waited more than an hour just to order food and drinks. They need to put on more staff and adjust their kitchen menu for events such as the Dongara races when they get a higher than usual patronage.

  The accommodation was dirty and run down, very disappointed. Things like the living room rug that would be easily replaced were filthy. Lovely old buildings and great location but a lot of maintenance and a very good clean are needed.

  Amazing dinner next to fire place, the locals are friendly. A little more variety would be great, but hey..!! it's Dongara. Kids were having lots of fun. 4WD-ing at the back of the hotel was very adventurous, skipped a heartbeat in the thick muddy pool.

  We stay here every year around xmas time. Reasonably priced rooms available and swimming pool.

  Bedroom's large enough for 4 of us, a little bit dark, and looked dirty. But I prefer to call it 'Vintage'.

  Lovely historical pub and lodge. Great for a drink and catch up with friends. Would come back again!
