    First time staying in Dongara in school holidays October 1. 2015, went to the Port Store for Fish and Chips and eldest child wanted squid rings. Ordered, Snapper and $3 chips. I was advised that they were out of squid so I had an upset child. Waited for almost half an hour to get our order, got back and chowed down on the fish which husband strongly believed was NOT snapper. By this time, we were too hungry to run down, complain etc.$3 chips was probably about $2 worth here in the metro area.

    I went into town the next night and spoke to Moreton Terrace owners who took ownership in July and despite some feedback on trip advisor, I will be trying their fish and chips.

    Love the Port Store Take Away, it's my go to when I can't be bothered cooking and I have never been let down, ever. Everyone is friendly, things are cooked fresh and they have a wonderful selection of lollies too.

    The port store is a very good place for food, and if the fish did not reach your standards then you should get checked for insanity
